The game
A travel challenge on a real budget
Flight Roulette is a game you play with real flights. You choose a budget from $50 to $500, start from the airport you're at, and a random spin picks your next flight from everything that fits what you have left. You book it with the airline, fly it and prove it. The longest verified distance on each budget wins the season.
Live
Just flown
Real flights from this season's runs, shown once the player has flown on (a city someone has just landed in stays private for a while).
How it works
- Choose a budget and where you start. The app lists the airports with scheduled flights you can get to, nearest first, with the travel time to each. Set a get-home reserve aside first: it's never part of the game.
- Spin for a flight. The spin picks at random from every flight that fits your remaining budget. Or pick one from the board yourself. You book it with the airline; we never sell tickets.
- Fly it and prove it. Check in at the airport, scan your boarding pass, upload the booking confirmation and take a photo when you land. Verified flights add their distance to your score.
Ways to play
Ranked · one flight a day
Daily Spin
One flight a day for seven days. You have a day to travel, so each flight can leave from any airport you can get to in time.
Ranked · against the clock
Non-Stop
Chain flights against a 48 or 72 hour clock. Each one leaves from where you landed, 2.5 to 8 hours later. Waiting burns the clock.
Just for fun · no leaderboard
Free Roam
Plan a whole trip from the cheapest flight out of every stop, with somewhere to stay for exactly your nights, or spin as you go.
Private races
Race your friends on your own board, with the same rules and proof, starting the same day.
Today's spin
Where could $50 take you today? Once a day, the board shows the furthest real flight you could take.
The Dare
Set a window and a price cap. One roll, every flight that fits has the same chance, no re-roll for 24 hours. Dare to go?
Levels
XP for things that are checked, with ranks from Passenger → Frequent Flyer → First Officer → Captain → Senior Captain → Chief Pilot → Sky Legend. Never part of the leaderboard.

Four budgets
Set in US dollars and shown in your own currency, at the exchange rate locked when your run starts. Fares, taxes, bags and booking fees count; where you sleep, eat and get around doesn't.
The hardest budget. Every fare is a puzzle.
Room for a bag and a few long hops.
Enough to cross a continent or two.
Go as far as the planet allows.
Straight answers
- Is it gambling?
- No. There's no stake and nothing to win but the season. You spend your budget on flights you take.
- Do you sell flights?
- No. You book with the airline or a travel site. Some booking and hotel links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no cost to you.
- Is it safe?
- You choose whether to take every flight, and you keep a get-home reserve. Passports, visas and entry rules are yours to check; the Dare only offers places your passport gets you into.
- What about my data?
- Your boarding pass is read on your phone and never uploaded. A city you've just landed in stays private for a while. See Privacy.
